The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority’s UK office hosted a series of peak season roadshows in the South East of England, accommodating some 250 travel agents from Cambridge, Windsor, Winchester, Bristol, Brighton and Oxford.

Peak season from January – March, is considered the biggest booking period for travel within the United Kingdom.

Held during the first two weeks in February 2020, the first evening was hosted at the stunning Hotel du Vin in Cambridge and the final event was held at the historic and sophisticated Malmaison in Oxfordshire on February 13, 2020.

The events were designed to bring together a wonderful collection of Antigua and Barbuda resorts to wow the agents with true Antiguan and Barbudan hospitality that can only be experienced in the destination.

Resorts that participated included: Royalton Antigua, Starfish Jolly Beach Resort and Spa , Blue Waters Resort and Spa, Carlisle Bay Resort, South Point, The Greathouse, Sandals Grande Antigua, St. James Club and Villas, Verandah Resort and Spa, Galley Bay, Pineapple Beach Club, Hammock Cove and  Hodges Bay Resort and Spa.

A total of 16 attendees were awarded with special invitations that guaranteed them a holiday of a lifetime to experience Antigua and Barbuda in 2020 across the hotel partners that participated.

London and the south east of England remain the most productive regions in regard to travel from the United Kingdom to Antigua and Barbuda and it is hoped that the peak season roadshow will result in an increase in bookings to the destination and its hotel partners.
